What would the Halloween season be without the fun of pumpkin carving? At our house, it's a pretty big deal and we really enjoy it! We get the large speaker and before we even start cutting, the spooky music is playing to help get our creative juices flowing. LOL! Colin, he enjoys creating a pumpkin BUT he can do without the guts and grossness of the inside. So, his pumpkin has been a kit the past few years, but he makes the cutest darn 'spider' pumpkin if I say so myself. Ethan, he loves everything about it...even getting his hands dirty! However, his pumpkin has also been the same the past few years, because he chooses the Halloweentown pumpkin face each time. It's just the traditional face, but that's what he likes so that's what he does. Brenton and I try to do something different each year, so ours are never the same. It's just a fun time, but if we're being really honest here the BEST thing that comes from all the carving is the pumpkin seeds. We absolutely love to roast them! It's work to get all those dang seeds clean and yes, it's mostly my job, but the boys do a great job getting all the gunk off which makes the process easier. Overall, it was fun time and here's our creations for this year.....

The "Punkin Patch"
Pumpkins, pumpkins, and more pumpkins! It's fall and this is our time of year! We honestly start talking about the next fall season the minute the current one is over. This season is ours and we try our hardest to enjoy every ounce of it. It's been a gorgeous start to fall this year and that is what we needed with all this craziness going on in the world. We were not about to allow COVID sour our tradition, so we added our masks to our snack bag and off we went! It was time to visit the pumpkin patch.
We're suckers for the small farms and have searched for a few years now, but I think we found our gem in Frazeysburg. We love to pick our own pumpkins straight from the patch and this little farm provides that. This was our second year at PV Farms and we loved it even more than last, Colin especially! He knew right where we were the minute we arrived and kept saying "punkin patch" it was really cute. This child is really growing! It's fun to see the excitement come out of him. Ethan, he's a trooper and he gets excited just because his brother is. I love this gentle, giant of a boy I have. I'm a blessed mom that's for sure with these boys! We had so much fun and it really was a great family day! ๐๐๐๐งก
