Not Lucky, Just BlessedπŸ€

Raising kids, means trying to bring some fun into this crazy world that we all live in! I've strived hard to make a fuss out of the simplest of things and to even enjoy every stickin' holiday no matter how big or little it might be to most! Yesterday, was St. Patrick's Day, so I of course had to do something! Now, I will say, I've been toning it down a touch and since Ethan is getting bigger and has practice after school, time is of the essence when he finally gets home! You know, because he wants to enjoy his friends too and that means he needs time to unwind with some Xbox! I don't mind it though and he knows his momma likes to do all these crazy things, but he did confirm that he enjoys it. Yay!!!  Anyway, I usually have a whole big scavenger hunt planned but this year, I just simply had their "pot of gold" sitting at their seats at the island! It wasn't extravagant or anything, but I still made a fuss for a bit to honor the day! I don't care how old they are or will be, I will continue to do these things and yes, their children will get one one day, too.....lol!πŸ€

Growing Up πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‚πŸ’š

Well, another year has come and gone for my oldest child who turned 14 last weekend! Birthdays are a big deal at our house and an exciting thing; however, for me it's also a time of reminiscing! How has 14 years come? Yes, I get it, every child wants to grow up and move on with their lives, but when you hit your 40s things change and birthdays bring a whole other feeling! The feeling of wishing you could slow time down just a touch! I'm very blessed with my children, especially Ethan! He's the most kind, loving child that I know! He's hit the age of being able to drive me bat shit crazy, yet doing it so loving that you can't get mad at him. He makes me better! He wears his heart on his sleeve, yet would give you that shirt if it meant you'd be happy! He always puts others first! I love being his mom and I enjoy him so much! I'm learning him all over again, it seems, these days though! These teenage years are no joke, lol!

Last weekend, was all about Ethan! It started Friday with his best buddy, Caden, being able to come over and stay all weekend. Those two have celebrated birthdays, since they both moved to the area in the 1st grade! I love seeing them grow up together! It was a great weekend and Ethan loved every minute of it! Happy Birthday, buddy! I love you so much!😊
