PreK is Here!!

Well, the day I've been dreading, is here! I still can't believe summer is over, but both my boys are now in school full time!  Today, is Colin's 1st day of PreK (all day/everyday) and even though he was excited to go, I was choked up!  It's hard to let go, but with each season life brings us, I'm learning to get better at it.  Colin, with everything we've been through, is a little harder for me to see go; however, it's also the most amazing feeling knowing where we are going. I'm thrilled that this morning was a good one and watching him with his backpack, lunch bag, and that smile of his go out the door I just couldn't help but tear up!  He is moving mountains and for that, I am thankful!  It does help me to know that Miss Amanda (his aunt) will be his teacher this year!  She will see him succeed and I'm anxious to see where we are in the Spring!  For now though, this morning was great!  I loved getting him ready, talking with him, and getting him prepared for his day.  Looking forward to 3:30 already, so I can get him back in this house! ;)

UPDATE:
He had a great day and did well for his 1st day/all day school setting.  No negatives, but he did fall asleep at circle time.  It was funny to hear the stories of the "typical" kids and how they acted vs my son (whom a few were hesitant about, b/c of his label) was music to my ears to hear how well Colin did! I love stories like that!! LOL =)
