Celebrations Are A Family Affair

I'm not sure why, but ever since I was little I've loved celebrating every little thing! I love decorating for every holiday, big or small, too.  I absolutely love the change and the planning of it. It's just fun!! Well, to me anyway.😊 I look forward to each and every one throughout the year and it gives me something to share with my guys, as well.  Making memories, is so important to me and these moments are just things I know my kids will remember.  I'm in the season of raising babies right now. So, when Valentine's Day falls on a Friday and it could've been a date night with my hubby, instead turns into a family celebration at home all together = no place I'd rather be! Thank the good Lord for my husband who is 100% on board! We both know this is the time for our kids and I'm so very blessed that I have a partner who gets that! Yes, we do value our time together and right now, that means living everyday life - taking time out of that to get in a dinner, or a date to the store, or an upcoming UFC fight, or a chat on the front porch whatever it may be, we do find time for ourselves. So don't be hatin'....lol!

Valentine's Day was last Friday, so you can bet we were pretty excited. Brenton and I had been planning, since the beginning of the month, so it was so fun to see our work come to fruition with the boys last weekend. Our boys, yes even the older they get, love it! Ethan had a school dance scheduled, it was then cancelled due to the snow day, but he wasn't planning on going anyway.  He told his friends that we always have a family celebration and he'd be celebrating with us. LOL! Now, I know the day is coming when the dance will win over; however, in this moment I'm taking it all in that he'd rather be home. So, yes, that warmed this mama's heart knowing that it was important for him, too.  I did make sure he knew we could have everything done so that he could do both, but with the snow day we didn't have to worry about it.  Life is too short and seeing things happening around us in other homes, it's just so refreshing to know that at our house we are good.  Perfect, nope...but definitely good!

We had a fun weekend and getting to celebrate Valentine's Day with my guys was the cherry on top!💘

Since the boys had a snow day, Colin's Valentine's party was postponed until this Friday.  So, here's the prep we were doing for his party last week, as well.  Brenton loves to make the boxes, but this year Colin chose a "Monster's Inc" bag and it turned out pretty darn cute....

Ready to party!!
And, now that Valentine's Day is over it's onto the next celebration! Yep, my house is decorated for St. Paddy's day and we're already planning some fun for that special day, too! 😉☘💚
