Mr. Colin, has been quite the little stinker here lately. He sure is coming out of his shell and we are really enjoying it. He absolutely loves being with my dad during the week, so I know that the sitter situation, was a blessing in disguise. We started speech, then had to stop speech after 4 sessions, b/c he just wasn't having it....it was too much and I knew it, so it was time to stop. We might revisit in a few months, but right now, it wasn't working. OH WELL!!!! That little booger is showing me things are at his pace and I'm learning to follow that pace.....Anyway, my dad has been working with him and has him saying a few new words....eat, thank you, bite, and the cutest of all here recently is this.....My dad has been wanting him to say "I love you Pap Pa" and Colin would go over to him and hug/kiss him to "show" Dad that he loved him, so he wanted a movie changed and dad said, "I'm not doing it until you say I love you Pap Pa" and Colin, protested for a bit and went to the TV, slapped it, turned around, and said to my dad "Love You Pap Pap" =) My dad was so excited he called me at work to tell me. I love that Colin now feels so safe and makes me working part-time, so much easier. I thought for a little while that I would need to quit work and readjust life, but God had another plan and that included my dad.....for that, I'm truly grateful!!!
