Father's Day in Paradise

While we were here on vacation, we got to celebrate Brenton, b/c Father's Day fell on our first full day.  I knew, obviously, since booking the vacation that Sunday was his day, so I made sure to have everything with me that I wanted the boys and I to give to him.  When he woke up on Sunday, we surprised him....he thought that new slip on shoes, some cigars, and a night out with Nick were his gifts....What he didn't realize was I had things up my sleeve for weeks!  I can't even remember now, but a few months back he was watching something about OSU football that was behind the scenes and he said, "that would be awesome to do"!  Well, I had no idea if they allowed it, but I had to go to work that next day after seeing it, so I got online, found a contact, and emailed him.  A few hours later, Joel, got back with me and sure enough OSU athletics does "behind the scenes" tours and that's when everything started coming together!  The boys and I got Brenton "A Day in the Scarlet in Gray" so he can go tour the stadium and see many things that he's wished about seeing.  I also, did a super hero theme, so I made a sign at work for his man cave, we got him a dad t-shirt, some cologne, and I also made him some of his "money clips" w/ dad on them.  I also brought cards, but it was so darn cute when we stopped at Walmart over at St. Pete, Ethan found a Superman card that played the theme song, so he had to get that for his dad.  Like I said, Brenton had no clue, but I was so glad we were able to surprise him.  Especially, with a gift that I know he'll really enjoy!  Seeing his smile, was totally worth it!  Brenton is a wonderful "daddy" and I couldn't imagine raising our boys without him.  I know our journey is a little different than most, but with him by my side I know our boys will have a great future.  I thank God for him everyday, b/c he truly has made my life pretty easy and our boys have a great role model to look up to.  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and father to our kids....love him more than he'll ever know!
