I don't do much outside of this house these days. Yes, that is by choice and it's just because I absolutely love being home. So, it takes a lot for me to want to get out and away from my family. However, last fall when my sister said, "Hey, New Kids is coming to Cleveland in May, want to go?" There was no hesitation in my responding...lol! I loved NKOTB when I was kid! My sister, Clorissa, and I shared a room and would sing to the cassette tape we had while dancing around. She loved Donnie and I loved Jordan! Yes, we had the posters on our wall and wore the big ol'pins that were a big deal back then. Those were the days!
Now, fast forward both adults & mothers, yet were still so excited for this concert! It was fun to reminisce with her and a few friends Saturday, as we headed up to Cleveland jamming to a NKOTB cd. Yeah, just a bunch of middle-aged women (except for Sarah) singing our hearts out in excitement! It was a fun evening and I really enjoyed it, but I have to admit something.....an 8pm concert, when you're almost 40 is pretty hard to take. I was dead tired when I walked in the door at 1:30am! YIKES!!! Overall though, it was a success and worth being tired for....I look forward to the next one!
